Okay. How to make them clickable? The thumbnails are (relatively) huge, but aren't mouse sensitive, so you can't see the poster's full size image.

I can't find the post now, but I tried to post a non-youtube video to no avail. It was something hosted on facebook and I couldn't find any way to get the link to work. I know you said just posting the link for youtube would insert the video, but what about non-youtube hosted videos?

The only Go Advance button I see is under the Quick Reply box and seemingly unrelated to the reply I am writing.
Because I can't get to Advanced Mode I can't show you the failure to retain that mode or the failure to let me see a link's entire byte content.
The first pic is the note I wish to reply to. The second is after I hit Quote. The third is after I hit Preview.

This experience of discovering, rediscovering, then doing it again, points out a serious flaw in trying to organize information using these forum types of websites (which are more similar to web email than a database). Instead of forcing people to read through what is currently 18 pages of replies (with probably similar threads in other forums on the site?) to see if a problem has already been reported, you just need a simple status page which everyone can view. There you can describe known problems and whether or not they've been fixed. Threads like this can be used more as input of new problems than rehashing old ones over and over again. (In fact, such a setup would be better for many sorts of semi-static information, which the vintage bike world is full of - think serial number registries, brochure scans, etc.)
I don't know if that is possible, but it would be an improvement over the current reporting scheme.

That is strange. I get the advanced button when I hit edit but not quote. Please try clearing your browser's cache and cookies.
As of this morning I am getting no Go Advanced button at all. Three sequential screen shots when starting an attempt at replying to an existing note. Notice the scroll bar at the bottom - the screen contents are twice as wide as my screen; I don't know where that came from. When I scroll to the right I still see no other button. After I hit Preview I still see no other button.
The only Go Advance button I see is under the Quick Reply box and seemingly unrelated to the reply I am writing.
Because I can't get to Advanced Mode I can't show you the failure to retain that mode or the failure to let me see a link's entire byte content.

With attachments... there is no "Insert Inline" option.
One can add [Attach] XYZ [/Attach], and it will insert the photo inline.
Attach.jpg
The old "default" was to use [Attach=CONFIG] XYZ [/Attach]. It still inserts the images inline, but seems to duplicate the images with "Attached Images" at the bottom of the post.
Of course, we no longer get thumbnails in either method.
Anyway, if there is the [Attach=CONFIG] XYZ [/Attach] use of the photo, then there is no need for the redundant "Attached Images".

Attachments is being worked on.
You should attach images using the GO ADVANCED, MANAGE ATTACHMENTS method.

To get the image inline, one has to manually type in [ATTACH] {Image Number** [/ATTACH]
Otherwise the attachment just drops to the bottom under "Attached Images".
(oops, no right brace, opposite to "{". I think I noted that earlier).

An image hosted in your BF photo album or on a 3rd party sharing site like flickr or photobucket can be posted using the INSERT IMAGE button in the post editor. Other images must be attached using the manual methods you described or the MANAGE ATTACHMENTS method.

More on Advanced, Links, etc.
This morning I did a test. I hit Post Quick Reply, entered some text, hit the Go Advanced (which also shows a Preview), entered a Link with the Link button, hit Preview again.
I never saw a Go Advanced button after hitting Preview. What I saw was this:
In Advanced mode I used to see in the edit box the entire byte listing for the link, which is to say the opening left angle bracket, A for anchor, the href="..." entry for the URL, the right angle bracket, the test to show, the close-anchor stuff. That would have allowed me to edit the displayed contents of the link. This version does not show that.
The edit box would also have shown me the right square bracket, the IMG tag, the right square bracket, the image URL, the close-image tag, etc. This version does not do that. It shows the picture itself in the edit box.
It would appear that it did not go into Advance Mode after Preview, but it also did not give me a Go Advanced button. So really doin't know what to make of it except that it doesn't work. It is not as expert-friendly as the previous version.
I won't even mention the fact that when I tried to post it the system complained that I had typed over 100,000 characters. So I quit and walked away, which is why I have created this note at 10:50AM instead of 7AM.

It is in Advanced Mode, it's just that the way it displays is now different. In terms of editing what the link displays as, simply type what you'd like to display, then highlight it and click "Insert Link". You may then copy/paste the URL of your choice.

If I enter a url for a pic then want to change one or two chars, I need to see the bytes, not the pic itself. I would think that is what "advanced" means. Seeing the wholc pic is incredibly inconvenient. That may be "the way it wofks" now but it is not as user-friendly as it was, or could be.

You would have to rename the file on your end, delete the old file and replace it I believe?
I don't fully understand however and have no knowledge of mobile devices.

What happened to fonts in the text editor? As of now in Chrome, I can't get ANY of the text editor versions to show the font that I choose to use. It only shows the standard fonts with the FONT tags wrapped around it if I want to change the font.
Also the Quick Reply used to show font/size/color controls, but now it won't. Go Advanced shows the controls, but of course doesn't actually display the fonts as WYSIWIG.

Apparently the textbox WYSIWIG has to do with browsers for some reason. Note the differences between Firefox (top) and Chrome (bottom) in each image. Firefox has a "Switch Editor Mode" button at the upper right, and displays font properly. Chrome doesn't show that button and doesn't show the fonts. It only shows the font tags surrounding the text.
