Stolen Image on Bikeforums
Hi,
Somebody has stolen an image from my Website and posted it in the Fixed Gear forum.
The stolen image is at: https://www.bikeforums.net/attachment...chmentid=35951
The original can be seen at: https://sheldonbrown.com/vertical
and also at: https://sheldonbrown.com/gloss_dr-z.html#dropout
Please delete the image and the thumbnail which is at message #8 of thread:

You might get quicker results if you either PM the original poster, report the post by clicking the [SPAM!] link, or making a comment in the original thread. Any of those would probably get the attention of the mods faster...

Don't be absurd. Sheldon's got an absolute right to protest the misuse of his proprietary image - especially when it's being used by somebody who's at least theoretically his competitor in the business.
Out of curiosity, Sheldon, would you still have a problem with that (educational) use if it was properly credited as coming from your site, preferably with a link to the originating page?

I also was bothered by the fact that the image had been tampered with, not only being turned to black and white, but also by deleting some of the useful info that was in the captions.
As I understand it, I must actively defend my copyright rights or the material that I worked hard to create will be at risk of slipping into the public domain and out of my control.
