Forum for Organizing Bike Events & Rides
Is there a forum for organizing bike events? Exchanging ideas on where to advertise, where to buy fanny flags & t-shirts, how to mark routes...in the rain, how many years should you give an event before you give up....How to put on a good event with a small budget?
Just asking where to look. I see the Big Rides & Schedules....nice idea! I like to know what's coming up.

Have you talked to any bike clubs or organizations in your area? Have you talked with the organizers of other "successful" events in your area? Have you talked with the state bicycling coordinator?
These people should be able to answer most of your questions.

I'll try getting in touch with the Ohio Bicycle Federation. Never thought of it before. There are no cycling clubs or organizations in my immediate area. There is a fund-raiser that just started in the area and they changed their date to the same date as mine. Not sure whats up with that. Most clubs are a good hour or more away. Haven't had much chance to go to any tours this year either. The local bike shop helps some, but I'm pretty much on my own as far as putting the "show" together. Would be nice to bounce some ideas off other tour organizers....or someone else familiar with riding tours. Not very many people around here understand what bicycle tours are.
Thanks again for the tip.
