Subscribed threads and email notification
I am getting email notification for a couple threads and I wanted to unsubscribe, the discussion having digressed beyond my interest. I went to thae Forums page for dealing with my subscribed threads but found that it listed "There have been no new posts in the last 30 days to your subscribed threads." Clearly this incorrect. It used to work last time I wanted to unsubscribe to threads -- months ago.
So, now what? If I end up subscribed to a thread because I post a reply, and I get email notifications as a result of my posting but now want to stop those, how do I do it if the unsubscribe page is no help?
Thanks

You can do a couple of things- go to your control panal, and where the threads are listed that you subscribed to, there will be an unsubscribe option you can click on.
You can also hit the "post reply" button on the thread you've been responding to, and you can deselect the receive email option. Specifically, that option looks like this:
Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible.
There is a box just to the left of this, and you uncheck that box.
That should unsubscribe you from the thread.

You should also have a link in the bottom of the email that is sent to you, the top link is to un-subscribe from just that thread, the bottom is to unsubscribe to all current threads.
I'll look into why you do not have the correct options in the control panel, thanks for the heads up.

I have been visiting my control panel. That is where I read the following:
"There have been no new posts in the last 30 days to your subscribed threads."
If I click "View All Subscribed Threads" I this message: "You are not subscribed to any forums at the moment." Yet, I just checked email and found a posting notice.
I had not looked down far enough to find the unsubscribe link in the notice email. I clicked that. So, we'll see if that stops notices from that thread.
But, I seem to have lost the ability to control subscribe threads via the control panel. The Forums still sends me email notices while also claiming there are no threads I am subscribed to.
