    Access to deleted threads?

It is disappointing to not read responses after you have replied because the thread has been deleted.

I like to petition for a trash can of some sort, open viewing but no reply or editing allowed (except by mods of course).

The answer to that one is a definite no. Sorry, deleted threads are deleted for a reason.

I'm curious, where can I find the reasons a thread might be deleted?

Also, would it be possible for a deleted thread to contain a "placeholder" of sorts? I mean, if we could see the thread title with a "Deleted" note, it might help us recognize what happened and save us searching for something we aren't going to find.
