Upgrade Bug Reports Here

If you experience bugs in the upgrade, please report them here, with as much detail as you can so we can address them. Thanks in advance for your help in keeping this forum a great place!

Why not provide a list of what changed after the upgrade. Maybe some great new feature is/is not working but this BF member is unaware of it. In fact how about a listing of some of the mystery features like posters names in red fonts -whatz dat mean? And some of those strange icons that appear alongside some of the threads in the listings of threads. And what is that new "report post" icon? Is that different than reporting offending posts to the mods?

Click on your own profile. Look there and your UserCP. You will see some changes.

I notice that in Paid subscriptions drop downs in the user CP, that it lists the upgraded membership was $25 for 30 years, $50 for 31 and $100 for 32 years. I have no idea what there were before, but I'm guessing that's not correct?

It was the original text, and the second 2 time levels were kind of a joke. 30 years is a long subscription, believe me!

Safari can’t open the page.
Safari can’t open the page “https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ge=2709”. The error was: “cannot decode raw data” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1015) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.

I've received these a half a dozen times today. Could be my internet connection but it's only been viewing BF pages.

What version of Safari are you using? I just tested that link in Safari for Windows and Mac. It opened with no issues.

It may very well be my internet provider.

No problems since I've made in back home this evening.

Clear your cookies and log back in. This has seemed to have cleared 99+% of the issues ike this. The old version cookies aren't compatible with the new version of the database.

Just had a login problem. Tried to get an automatic email sent, but when trying to type the identification letter in , get this "The string you entered for the image verification did not match what was displayed." message... although I think I did in fact retype the letters correctly.

However, I did manage to guess the correct password on about the 15th try. My parents always recommended persistence and patience as the way to go.

FWIW, I keep all my passwords on a flash drive off the computer for if I forget them. Some of them have to be changed every 30 days, anyway, so that's why I started that up.

It's always nice to have a list.

I notice pics I insert from other websites (not upload) with the IMG tags seem to disappear. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Given that there was a recent crash:

https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=499996
^^^
That poll went wonky

And I can't find an example right now but I've noticed the page numbers have been wrong in a few threads (meaning a thread may be listed as having 4 pages, but the last post is on the third page).

Sometimes that other webmaster will disable embedding because when you embed a pic like that, you're actually using their bandwidth.

The crash yesterday was hardware related, rather than software.

Posts that I've viewed are rebolding without any new posts being added.
The post titles will not be in bold font when I return to the subforum index, but when I leave the site and return, many will be back in bold although no new posts have been added, and posts I've already viewed will have the small gold "new" tag over them again.

These kind of database errors have preceded crashes in the past.
