New BF version is very mobile-unfriendly

Sometimes I try to read BF on my laptop, sometimes on my Blackberry.

I know there is no mobile version available, but the older version was decent to read on the Blackberry.

The current version is very difficult to read.

When I look at my Control Panel, each subscribed thread is followed by the first paragraph of content in the thread, so I have to scroll through a few pages to see each thread in the list.

If I try to post a reply, between the input box and the "Submit" button there are all the smileys...listed about 2 per page, so again there is a lot of scrolling just to submit a reply.

I'm not asking for a mobile version, but just render the current version more mobile-friendly as the last version was.

I find myself visiting BF far less these days as it's just too inconvenient.

Thanks in advance.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

Hi, there are mobile skins, but unfortunately, they are only compatible to 3.8, and we're running vB4.0. They are not compatibel at all. We have plans in development though, for getting this addressed.

The situation with my PDA is even worse, the server appears to dislike my client type and returns no responce.

I don't care about the formatting being unsuited for tiny mobile screens, but sending no data at all is terrible.

I have been able to workaround this and view the forum well enough by using google languages as a proxy to hide my client type, but this really sucks.
Anyone know of a better website than google that will echo http data for me?

PDA is hacked nintendo DS, browser is DSOrganize.

I'd be a lot happier if the BF server would just stop trying to ID client type, seeing as how you aren't providing a PDA skin anyway theres no real point right?
Should be a 5 min fix in some server config file...

Can't stop ID'ing client type. Certain browsers *cough*microsoft*cough* don't follow standards and won't work unless one writes "special" code...

I surf quite a bit using an iPod Touch, and it works fine except I can't get to the Qucik Navigation list. It pops up, but I can't scroll down the list. I also have a problem on IE 8, where the Quick Navigation list is behind the web page, so I can't get to it at all.

I got a new Blackberry and I can't even log in to BF with the newer BB browser. The username box is at the top of the screen but the password box is missing.
