Folding bikes might not be the first choice for hardcore cyclists, but they represent a significant mainstream community of cyclists.
Read through this to see what the lady does with her bike.

The road infront of our home some times are very busy. At my age (74) it could leads to serious accidents. So I drive to safer places with my Giant Halfway for my daily exsercise. My Halfway is a single speed with a Brooks saddle. Perfect bike for me in my precent environment.

You should post that pic in the SS/Fix sticky photo thread. There's been more than a few SS folders in there - I'm sure some people would drool.

Nice looking bike.

A forum for folding bikes would be great. A lot of us seem to use them for commuting, and they have specific features/issues that would warrant a separate forum.

GI=58.5, with 48/16 chain rings and 19.5" wheel with hi-pressure (80 psi) tire. I found it is just right for my kind of biking. The Halfway with Brooks Professional saddle weigh 12 kgs. (26.5 lbs.) and my weight is 73 kgs. (160 lbs.). I am 6' tall and have to set the seatpost at it's maximum height.

I agree with at least testing a folding bike forum. Seem like now if its a one speed folder, the thread goes in SS/Fixie, if it's a multi speed folder, the thread ends up either in general cycling or commuting, there's no consistency at all....

I would calculate that at 60 GI I think the halfway uses 20 inch tires .I try to shoot for 54 inches on single speeds. I am glad you like it though.

Nice ride. I love that fork.

Because of my work, I basically lived on the road for about 8 years so I carried my Bike Friday folding bike, a set of rollers, and weights with me. Kept me in pretty good shape.
