Bike forums loads sooooooo slowly

Anyone else have this problem? I know I have a terrible connection that never goes above 70 kbps but still...I usually have to keep refreshing the page over and over again or else it just wont load at all. While I'm trying to load a page on BF I can't open any other page for any website either, it just slows everything down. Sometimes I just give up entirely and try again later.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

What browser are you using, and what OS, please?

Hmmm, thaat combination shouldn't be any issue. Those are quite compatible with vB4, so I will bring up the issue with tech on my call tomorrow. Is it constant, or a cyclic issue with improvements and then going back to the slowness?

Pretty constant. It's slow all the time at all hours of the day.

I see this behavior on osx 10.6.6 and FF 3.6.mumble. (See it with Safari too, and Firefox on other platforms, too, actually.) BF simply doesn't respond to some requests. Connection opens properly, GET request is sent, and ................................
Retrying the request often gets an instant response.

BF is unusably slow today. It took 50.6 seconds to load the reply page to post this, for instance. It's simply not supplying data. It provides a response, and then nothing.

I've been having trouble since Wednesday I think. Sometimes it loads, sometimes I get a network error (whatever that means).

Win XP and FF3.6.16 is a little slow for me, and occasionally locks up. If I close and reopen FF, it's okay, for a while. Not seeing this with other sites, only BF.

We've been having some network issues systemwide. They've been working on it the last few days.
