WTF? Someone sends me a private message and I reply and I find I cannot because I've only posted 13 times and I need to have 50 posts before I can reply. Why such an odd rule? It's not like I'm sending folks unsolicited private messages.
Shall I make up my quota by posting 37 bits of nonsense so I can reply to a private message? Shall I be rude on the forum just so I don't have to rude to an individual?
Please explain.

Welcome 37 new members is one way. We instituted the policy after the system was exploited by a spammer group an dit flew under the radar until a member reported it, by whhich point they had bunch out already.
