I advocate the use of the ümlaut whenever you need to swear.

It makes you look hellishly cool in a Germanic, industrial rock kinda way. Use it liberally.......or.....come over to the Aussie thread and Hitchy will teach you the quaint vernacular usage of the nown, 'd¡ckhead'!

Ok, preparing to ban all forum folks in the South Pacific....

Nah... they provide the spice while we're all asleep in the Western Hemisphere. Maybe we can hold off on it for a bit.

For reasons of decorum, d!ckhead shall now from henceforth be referred to as "peckerhead"

or just call someone a rooster teeth.

think of another name for a rooster, and what teeth do, and you have the gist of it.

I guess that depends on where you live. In Australia there is only one word that isn't use on TV often, but even then Sex and the City used it several times uncensored on free to air TV. So virtually anything goes down here. Afterall we were settled by convicts.

CHEERS.

I can tell there's something up with the Australians on these forums. Look at the shifty eyes in the avatars... no good can come from that.

Despite being settled for convicts, we have those roadside honesty box stalls where you grab flowers, vegies and make the requested payment. Strangely enough everyone pays and nothing goes missing.

The shifty eyes come from looking out for 'roos. If you're not careful they'll knock you out for a six! Howzaaaaat.

Over the head, Adrian. Over the head. How could anyone outside Australia even comprehend: Howzaaaat? Especially when it's expressed by one S Warne?

I'm sorry to say, but, again, I'm pretty sure that's an Aussie term.

As I'm sure you can imagine, it basically means "dikhead", but a bit worse

nah different

smoking is based on the process of sucking on the object being smoked, whilst a head is part of something (usually the tip of the object).

So according to my crappy examples, a d**khead would just be a giant tool, while a d**ksmoker is actually performing an action and mot merely showing that he is indeed, a giant tool.

Tool is another great Aussie word, which was used by Baden Cooke during a TDF interview. I think the convicts have hi-jacked this thread. Nothing new.

CHEERS.

Wonderful explanation! I couldn't do better if I tried!

Down at the beach you should have seen those white pointers narly a cozzie in site - it was almost worth dodging the brown eyed mullet! I was flat out like a lizard drinking keeping an eye out. Phwaor it was dry as nun's nasty. My grunders were grinning like a shot fox as if they were at the Gabba. Downed a few XXXX coldies and headed off, but the booze bus was out and I had to blow in the bag. I offered a bushman's hanky but the copper wasn't interested and treated me like a dero and shoved me in the divvy van. I was mad as a cut snake deadset true! I chundered inside but there was little room and got my clackers covered.

One of the Aussie Rules footballers was recruited from the Irish Gaelic League, and when asked about the difficulties of playing here, he said: "the Aussie slang".

He commented that Anthony Rocco said to a team mate: "just bomb it down the guts", so the Irishman didn't know what he was then expected to do to counter this opposition "tactic"
