IE version 7 or 8 is not working with the upgrade. Only text icons that appear are the smileys.

Maybe a rollback is in order, until BF tech tests and validates the code before putting it back into production.

Further information: IB had a fire yesterday, which is a major part of the reason that things are so messed up. The issues aren't limited to BF, so bear with us. They are still assessing the total damage systemwide, and I'm actually surprised that we're still up, given the circumstances.

This! Perhaps a test board is in order here also...I know VB lets license holders have one live board and a test board (there's a reason for that)...still very slow loading today, everywhere else I go on the net is normal speeds. Did the fire get to the web server? :/

I don't know, I did say that they are still assessing.

Typical of Internet Brands. Let your cuctomers be the code testers, require a programming degree to use the program, and they don';t even have the courtesy to respond to their coustomer's compplints, although it's been several hours. I guess they figure that we provide our own contentfor free, so we should provide our own engineering also.

Well, 6 hours later, I still don't have formatting options in any editing mode. I still have about a foot of white space between the last post on the page and the "Reply to Thread" box. Different computer, still using IE--

I've been typing in the code by hand since yesterday morning because all my handy little buttons that do it for me are GONE. Good thing I know some of the code, but it is a pain to have to try to remember it all. Not impressed. I was hoping my buttons would be back this morning, but they are not.

I have been responding to complaints, I'm here, aren't I? You did see the post about the fire yesterday? I've been a bit slower than usual, since I just got out of the hospital this morning, myself. As soon as we have something to tell you, we will.

Issues fixed so far:

Max Image nunmbers and max number of videos embedded was restored to original spec. (10 and 5, respectively), and embed code has been fixed.

IE compatibility is being worked on.

Just heard from Tech that the IE version of the editor program has been restored, so hopefully that will resolve the IE formatting issues. Let us know if this isn't the case.

I see the IE is working now!

I do see that to view the emoticons, I have to "go advanced" whereas I believe they were viewable before in the quick reply mode. I could be wrong but either way, I got the basic smilies down without the table. ...see?

But video, image icons are once again present.

Some of the buttons have returned (they look Windows/Mac cartoonish) ... but I'm still having trouble with photos.

Are older posts missing or not indexed? In the Road Race forum there are only 2 pages of posts. I know there used to be more.

That does still seem to be an issue, although in the Lower Left of the photo dialog from the display, there is a "Standard Uploader" link. That seems ti work better from via the editor button. If you go advanced and use the older attachment manager, that works as it used to.

I see over a hundred + pages of posts, so there hasn't been any data loss. Things seem a tiny bit slow this morning, so we may be experiencing some of the effects of the fire event the day before yesterday.

What Browser? Also, clear your cache and log back in, that generally fixes things after an update (not always, though). You may have an out of date style cookie controlling your page display.

Same result in IE - when you look at the front page, for example, the Triathlon forum says 3766 Threads, then when I click through to the forum it shows one page of 23 threads.

Forwarding to tech. I can't reproduce the error. I checked your settings, and they are standard, so that's not the issue. I can't explain the discrepancy, so we'll let the techies look at it.

There's a Thread Display setting now at the bottom of the forum page. For me it defaulted to show threads for one month. You can change it to a longer time window.
