So if I sign up for paid subscription or membership to Bikeforums.net, will these annoying pop-ups go away? There is no way I am paying for it if the ads continue, but it might be worth it if it works. The pop-ups are totally ruining Bikeforums.net, and I don't think you can blame this on the users. I've got my computer set to block pop-ups yet they still continue and get worse by the day.

Thats funny....I don't get any pop-ups.

I'm an IT guy by trade.
Do you get pop-ups while on other sites?
If so, I'd be scanning the system for malware.
Sounds like your browser has been hijacked.

I am only getting the pop-ups at Bikeforums. Other users are complaining as well -- there are several threads about it on this subforum. I get the pop-ups using various browsers.

No popups here, just some sidebar ads, usually from Pricepoint.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

We don't run popup ads, only sidebar text and banner ads, and a couple small forum specific banner ads, so I would check for malware. They're getting quite sophisticated in even bypassing adblockers now. Premium bebefits do include no ads. We've had a couple instances after an update. for example, where the ads will briefly show up for even premium members, but that's the result of the defaults getting a reset in the update process and is fixed as soon as we've heard about it.
