Search function on Bikeforums not working?
I get the following message whenever I try to do a key word search:
Oops! An error occurred: unknown local index 'ForumDelta' in search request
Any suggestions?

Meanwhile, you can use Google: type in the search phrase as usual and add "site:bikeforums.net" (without the "s of course) at the end.

I, too, am having issues with the general search bar on the top right of the main page, as well as the advanced search function. But, within a particular forum, the "Search Forum" function works fine.

If it's a single word search then you wil get infinite results. Nature of the Sphynx search engine. Use advanced search and search titles only for a manageable result stream, and avoid a timeout resulting in no results displayed.
Sphynx does "Serial Exhaustive" searches.

The search function is definitely not working the same for me as it did before. I often do a one word search for "Lotus" looking for any new posts and it always provided perfect results. Since 10-10-12 it's been malfunctioning like the OP states. Today I tried "Lotus Classique" and it showed the same error.
Has the search engine changed from a week ago?
