Meta Question: Is somethng wrong with the search function?
Is something wrong with the search function? I'm getting a blank page with the following at the top: Oops! An error occurred: connection to bikeforums2:3312 failed (errno=111, msg=Connection refused).
I'm not sure which forum to put this in. We need a meta-forum: Questions about all the various fora.

Seems to be. I tried to find a thread today and and gave up. Searched by date and eventually found it.
I think they forgot to feed and water the search monkey and it died.

Apparently, the indexing is screwing up. I'll pass it along to tech. Thanks, and a PM would have been nice letting me know. (Or an email.....my first name at bike forums dot net).

Search problem, or me?
When I try to do a search in all forums I am getting the message "Oops! An error occurred: unknown local index 'ForumDelta' in search request."
If it makes a difference, I get the message when I search using the tool on the header of the page.
Thanks,
Chuck

Hi all,
I've merged three threads on this same issue.
Search has been re-indexed by Tech and should be working now. They are also trying to track why it's going down so frequently lately so hopefully it'll be a longterm fix; in the meantime, please post in this thread if it goes down again.
