    Urban rider

I'm not really a road biker yet I ride on the road. I jump curbs, take dirt trails, get off my bike and hike up steep single tracks and slide down algae covered seeps. We hit Big Bang Friday and the Disney fireworks on the same ride. I ride with Midnight ridazz all night, get some sleep and go chase Roadies on PCH on my Custom single speed Hybrid/Mountain bike. I may be spinning 5000 grams but I can still put in a fast 75 miles. My friends and I cruise the beach paths and then jump on the Bike trail and sprint the 18 miles home. My bike weighs 17 pounds and has 2.0 x 29 tires. Me and mine consider ourselves to be Urban Riders. Part Roadie, Part Hybridish, mostly unclassifiable. Or are we. URBAN RIDERS should be a new classification. Most of us live in or near a big city. Only a matter of time...JIm
