Search Question

The answer is somewhere but I can't find it. Which relates to my question.

How do I get the search engine (Mechanics--search forum) to look for two word as one. I mean "chain suck", "chain length" or "chain lube" search for posts specific to that pair of words and not bring up "chain" and every post containing the word chain by itself.

I tried quotations marks but I got a too short, too long or too ugly error message.

Thanks,
Greg

Did you try the Advanced Search? Mechanics->Search, then you should see "Posts", "Threads", and "Advanced". Click on the "Advanced" and it should take you here- http://www.bikeforums.net/search.php...hoice[]=10.

That's about as much as I know :o

Yeah. That's where I tried quotation marks to no avail.

Thanks for the response.

Okay, just tried it again. Enter your keyword(s). There is a box next to that on the right that has a drop down menu. Select "Search Titles Only". I plugged "chain suck" (w/o quotations) and this is what I got- http://www.bikeforums.net/search.php?searchid=7923487.

Looks like that may have narrowed it down quite a bit :).

Thanks, I'll give that a try. At least it will have to have "suck" in the title.

That reduced the "clutter" quite a bit. Good deal.

Now, I might be able to find out what's going on with this new bike.

Thanks.
