Why is it
Why is it that sometimes when I click into a reply to a thread, the back arrow will not take me back? I am stuck on that reply and have to X out of BF and come back into it.
Anyone?

When you first click reply, it opens (at least for me) the quick reply box directly underneath the post you clicked reply at. Scroll, the rest of the thread is below the reply box. There is no going back because you haven't left the page. Click "Go Advanced" directly below the reply box and you will go to the reply page that you are accustomed to seeing on other forums.

Either you've opened a new tab, or else BF has jumped you through 3-7 successive screens of the same thing and hitting back only takes you back one page, where you're promptly jumped forward again. The only way out of the loop is to go back enough pages to get you back to the forum listing. Drives me crazy when this happens; but then at least it's a short trip.

Its some type spam if I run my mouse over one of the ad's here
it does that to me sometimes not always
when I put my mouse on the back arrow it says double click ad
and it wont return to the previous page
I only have this problem on this site
no other sites

If you use an older version of Internet Explorer, that will happen with many sites. To fix ... close Internet Explorer and reopen. You'll be good to go for a little while.

rydabent, you should post this to the user assistance forum so the site admins can investigate. They like to have these things brought to their attention since they might otherwise miss it if it's in a bike thread.

Not quite a year ago, I got this laptop with Win 8 and IE10 (rarely use IE any more). Even though I was a Mod at that time and a Ti member prior to that, I started seeing ads when my cursor hovered over words- and that blue star/yellow jersey means I don't see the ads. As BF doesn't allow that particular type of ads (the pup up on hover), I went and checked my extensions. Sure enough, there was a "Coupon Helper" that somehow installed itself- presumably with another extension that I did want- and that was the root cause.

if there is a popup ad, please post a screenshot. There is a thread in the user assistance forum for that.
I would clean cookies for bikeforums and see if that helps. You'll have to log in again. MTBR is like that, if you reply you have to hit back 3 times to actually go back. I think it might be default vbulletin behavior
