What does the droplet symbol mean?
On each forum before every post title, there is either a bike symbol or a symbol that looks like a big water droplet. What do they mean?

The water droplet is in fact a flame- it denotes a hot topic. As to why there is bike before every thread, I haven't the foggiest .

P.S. Seems too many threads are designated as "hot topic". I'm just looking at the Commuting forum, and most of them are "hot topics".

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

X number of responses and views designate a hot topic. The gecko on a bike icon is just an aesthetic custom icon used for BF rather than the standard vBulletin thread icon.

Also, when viewing the index page of any of the forums/sub-forums (not the main index page), scroll all the way to the bottom. It gives you an icon legend, you can see the assigned Admins/Mods for that particular forum, tells you how many members and how many guests* are in the forum, accesses the thread display tools at your disposable, and shows you your site permissions.
*guests can be unregistered/unique users and/or registered members who logged out from their previous session and haven't logged back in. You would also be surprised at the number of people who join just so that they can view attachments and rarely (if ever) post.
