firefox won't display thumbs, maybe zone alarm?

firefox won't display any thumbs that people post, i often have to open it in IE, even then sometimes it doesn't show the thumb, maybe it's something on zone alarm??

I'm using "Firefox", and I don't have problems with either item.

Since IE is also causing you problems, I'd check ZoneAlarm.

Please don't use zone alarm- it is just terrible and cuts stuff off arbitrarily. I bet at some point your internet won't run because it will cut that off too.

While I agree ZA can be troublesome, it is far more convenient than formatting my hard disk. Especially since my work site and this site don't run at all or run poorly on Netscape and IE is insecure. I had McAfee but wasn't thrilled with that either.

Thanks,

Maggie

This brings to mind an amusing parody song that my friend came up with and sent to a mailing list some years ago...

Well, maybe not...But at least I didn't put 'sex' in the title.

Normally I put some disclaimer here about how these things are
for humor content, and slightly relate to IRC...well this song
doesn't necessarily relate to IRC, but I think a lot of the readers
of operlist can appreciate the subtle humor I am trying to impart.

           =Firewall=

(from =Wonderwall= by Oasis)

Today is gonna be the day
That I'm gonna filter all of you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody
is going to be immune to this bug now

Sure bet the word was on the net
That the exploit for the bug is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a route
I don't believe that anybody
is going to be immune to this bug now

And all the hosts we have to trace have just poofed
And all the packets that lead us there have been spoofed
There are many holes that I would
Like to patch right now
but I don't know how

Because maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me?
And after all
You're my firewall

Today you thought you get away
And they'd never trace it back to you
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody
is going to get through to my hosts now

And all the hosts we have to trace have just poofed
And all the packets that lead us there have been spoofed
There are many holes that I would
Like to patch right now
but I don't know how

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me?
And after all
You're my firewall

I said maybe
You're gonna be the one who saves me?
And after all
You're my firewall

Said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

I use ZoneAlarm to prevent software from reporting back to the "mothership" in addition to a hardware firewall. (router) I also use Firefox, and keep up to date with all the latest patches for these and Windows. I do not use a virus scanner, since it is very unlikely that I will ever get one. I have never gotten infected with any spy or adware.
