Website issues?
Has anyone else experienced issues with this site recently.
First off, the computer I normally use for visiting here is pretty quick. However many times pages will not load, or get totally hung up on ads. Also, this site often trips something in Firefox I believe, or maybe?, and as a page opens, the cursor starts blinking. As the cursor blinks, the entire scrolling process becomes notchy and jumpy. Ultimately forcing a log off from the net and reenter.
Yesterday I tried to read a PM sent. Both yesterday and today, after waiting a close to a minute, the site was still loading crap and the page refused to open.
Does not seem to matter what time of day or night.
Please do not post back telling me to pay so I get better performance.

Half Fast
I visit the website quickly a couple of times a day, and I haven't had any issues.
The trouble you've experienced sounds like a real pain! Do you have trouble on other websites that have a mountain of ads? You may want to check Gizmodo.com or CNN.com to check.

Win 7 machine with lots of RAM, running Chrome: yes, exactly those problems. I visit the site frequently, probably too frequently, and see these problems maybe 10X per day. Almost certainly it's ad servers causing the problem. I'm not a paid member, so maybe that's the way to go. $20 for 2 years? That's cheap. No ads. I pay for RWGPS because I believe in the people behind it. I pay for Strava because I have a perceived need for what they sell. Same thing for TrainingPeaks.
So I just talked myself into becoming a paid subscriber. Done. I wonder how long before it takes effect?
All fixed: no ads. About 20 minutes.

Agree, it is likely ad related. My research indicates that poor scripts or sketchy programing is likely the cause.
There is one other site tha sometimes will have this happen. Here is the worst. As for ads, I counted five ads when I made the original post.
Truth be told, since I noticed the problems, I pretty much cut back on how frequently I swing by. Maybe once per week or even longer compared to daily before the problems.
