Are the outermost points of the nubs at the 30 measurement, or are they in addition to it? I'm trying to figure out if I can run some skinny & fast CX tires for winter use on my road frame.

Particulars: Tire - 700x35 Richey Speedmax clincher My weight - 195 Coarse - grass, mud (farmers pasture) Where do I start. I'm a roadie and would pump my tires up to the 120lb maximum and then some. Tires on the Cx have a max 75lbs pressure. Thanks Canflyboy
