Thanks for the reminder. I really like the way they do these shows. Makes you want to purchase the products they showcase. I never really wanted Whitmans chocolates before, or a Yankee candle, but after you watch the shows, you suddenly do. I guess I'll be wanting a Trek at about 8:31 PM CST.

But not many Trek bikes are still made in America, doesn't that make you wonder how truthful the show - or at least the companies interviewed - are being?

Got lucky and caught the program. I was surprised that Trek let the film crew take pictures of the layup of a carbon frame. Usually, Trek had been pretty secretive about their process. However, the film crew only filmed the carbon process; would have been nice to see their welding process for aluminum and titanium but that may have been in another area.

Yeah. the high end carbon fiber bikes are made in Wisconcin while the lower end and middle end aluminum bikes are made in China. Right? does Trek even make a titanium frame?

My wife works in a LBS and went to their Trek University day here. A surprising number of their bikes are still built in the US. I think in the road category even their middle of the road Al bikes are still made in Waterloo; it is true that their lower end bikes are made in Asia.

Trek makes Lemond which sells a Ti/Carbon bike.

Damn it, I missed it. Does anyone know a place where I can watch it online or download it as a torrent?

And I ride a new 7500, does that mean it was not made here in America?

Don't know. I ride a trek 520 and it has sticker on it - Made in Taiwan. Can't fault it though - It's a great bike.

Me too.... appreciate very much if someone pointing to the place to download the show or watch online

I have Trek T1000 tandem with sticker on the seat tube saying "handbuilt in America". Does it make any difference?

My '01 Lemond says "handbuilt in America" too. I am pretty sure the Lemond 853 frames were welded and painted in the US in '01 so, I guess "handbuilt" means, e.g., "made in the USA with components from Japan" (except that I think it may have Campy dropouts).
