building my first frame...

my bike was stolen, and my boss at the shop says he has some old tubing that we could build a frame out. he's basically making me do everything (and isn't being much of a help at all) except the actual welding, but i still don't know where to start. Are there any good sites? This is for a track bike (~52-53cm)

Right now i just need to work on measuring and setting up the geometry of the bike. I think i might base it loosely around the IRO Mark V (or maybe the Angus, since the tubing is more similar to that) b/c my stolen bike was a Mark V and i thought it fit pretty good.

Although we have some lugs at the shop (old, sorta ugly), can someone post links to places to get lugs?

thanks

Josh Putnam's site : https://www.phred.org/~josh/build/build.html
is a good place to start. he has links to the websites of several framebuilding suppliers. He also has a link to a framebuilders email list. The list is mostly professional builders and fledgling professionals but there are some amateurs there also.

There is (was?) a page by Suzy Jackson who had chronicled pretty much each step of building her first frame, unfortunately the last time I tried her website the page wouldn't open. https://www.littlefishbicycles.com

Also if you google " bicycle frame building" you should get several pages of links to both pro and amatuer framebuilders

i'm specifically looking for info on sizing a frame (measuring myself) and designing the frame for a track bike. a lot of the sites i've seen were for road bikes, which worries me that i might do something wrong.

it seems like i will be mainly doing the design / sizing, and just helping with the welding (i've never welded before; my boss has built frames but isnt' helping with the design)
