Frame size differences
Is there a major difference between a 22 inch and 20 inch frames? or is it only a slight difference?

2 inches...
Seriously, depends on what type of frame and what you are using it for.

If it was a custom frame then give or take 2 inches would be a huge range. But one can often consider a range 2 inches appart in order optimize, say top tube length, on an off the rack bike.

I checked the site briefly, but couldn't find a place that details the frames geometry. This will tell you which size frame will fit you the best. If I were you, I would hit a LBS and have them size you or at least sit on a few mountain bikes to see which fits the best.
