Frame cable guides...
I was wondering what would be the best form/way of putting on another cable guide close to the headtube so i don't need any zip tires or tape to hold my brake cable in place. It's a bmx frame with straight guage 4130 tubing.
Some BMX frames have brazed cable guides but i don't want to do anything that would effect the strength of my frame or mess it up. I'm not too familiar (sp?) with the different forms of putting metals together so here i am... Thanks. |
If you don't want to weld/braze to your frame there are always stick on tabs that they use on some road bikes.

Woah wtp i didn't know you browsed all the other forums...
Anywho yeah i've seen those before but i can't figure out what they are called and my local shop just looks at me like i'm an idiot when i ask for them. Do they have a 'proper' name? |
Ya, I browse every forum on here.
Try googling 'Stick on cable stops' or 'stick on cable guides.' Beerman had one from Jagwire on his bike when he still ran brakes, it's on this page somewhere. http://www.jagwireusa.com/oem/frameparts.html. EDIT: Here they are, http://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...de+3+Pack.aspx http://www.johnhenrybikes.com/images...uide-Small.jpg I have a few on my DH bike on the swing arm and they work good. |
Yeah that's what i'm looking for. Thanks.
