where to buy frames and forks, if possible for a cheap price or used. btw is a mountain bike fork compatable with a road bike frame?

No. 26" vs 650/700 C. Suspension Road forks have been made. Cannondale had suspension head tube shock. Ebay is the first choice.,,, Performance or nashbar depending on what you need.

Recently bought a Nashbar MTB Frame with seatpost from them for $30.00 on special back in April. I figured for that price I could GIVE it away if I thought it was anything less than what I wanted to build up.
After putting some nice parts on it and working the kinks out, I have a very nice fast MTB to use in commute and path duties.
