    Lugged stems

Does anyone know who makes a lugged stem? TIG welded stems look good on a MTB but not so good on a roadie. Thanks

Nitto makes them, but they are damn expensive. Several custom builders make them too.

    Tim,

Dazza at Llewellyn makes them, and so does Conor Buescher at Vedetta.

And a variety of suppliers will sell you the parts to make your own.

Not so sure why frou frou hearts/lugs are more roadie, maybe a lug design with some hypodermics and pills cut into it would catch the vibe.

I'm pretty sure the currently available kits were developed by Llewellyn and the lugs manufactured by Long Shin. Kits available from ceeway.com, bikelugs.com, and other places I'm sure.
Becareful buying/selling bike parts on-line. I learned the hard way. :(
