Choice of steel

If you had your rathers would you prefer 520 or 4130 cromoly for your loaded down touring frame? Any significant differences or not. Thanks for your ideas.

The Reynolds 520 tubeset is made from 4130. The tubes are butted to save a little weight. Good stuff for a touring fame. A generic 4130 tubeset may or may not be as nicely configured in terms of tube thinkness and butt lengths. No way to know with out more specific information.
