Source for Columbus SLX?

I've recently acquired a bike that has evidently been crashed headlong into something rather hard during its lifetime. I would like to repair it but i can't find a source for Columbus SLX tubing. Does anyone have a suggestion? Or perhaps someone has an SLX tubeset lying around that never got used? I'd even settle for a damaged SLX bike in a 60 or larger as long as the top tube and down tube are straight if anyone has one they'd be willing to part with.

Thanks in advance, hopefully there is an obvious solution that my searches have somehow missed, I hate to see the poor bike wallow in its abused misery.

You could try Ceeway or a builder who has been around for ages

Let me check in the basement, but I think that I have some unused SLX tubes.

Hi All,

Sorry to take so long, but I forgot already! Here is what I found:

1) 28.6 x 0.6 x 620 R2 SLX, which I take it to be a down tube?

1) 28.6 x 0.6 x 635 R1 SLX, which is a seat tube?

1) pair of SLX seat stays.

There is only a few spots with surface rust.

I also found 4 Reynolds 531 tubes, and seat & chain stays of unknown origin. Someday I will sort through all of the other odds & ends & put them up for sale. If these will help let me know, what would be a fair price.

As far as i know the difference between the SLX down tube and the SLX seat tube is that the down tube is double butted, and the seat tube is not. So if you can determine the butt profile it should tell you which tube is which. As for price i honestly couldn't tell you, PM me with your asking price if you'd prefer. I definitely do need at least that down tube (I'll still need to scrounge a top tube from somewhere) and maybe i could use some of the other stuff to sweeten the deal for you so you wouldn't have to ship a single tube. Just let me know and thanks again, this is why i love bikeforums.
