I have a Bianchi Concept 2003 aluminum track frame with a dent in the TT due to a crash( bars dented TT). No other damage- drops and wheels are alighned fine. How can I tell if this is safe to ride as a commuter? Are there any rules of thumb as per size etc or do I need to submit a picture?
Thanks very much.
those concepts are made from pretty thin stuff, like quad butted 7075 ...i think taking it to a bianchi dealer would be your best bet. they have some other frames in their line made from that stuff...the fremont comes to mind.. they, more than likely have seen lots of dents and could tell you what is catastrophic and what is cosmetic. how many guys on here build with butted 7075 aluminum on a regular basis?
