    Bending Fat Forks

I have just inherited a thick unicrown fork blade set. Not my usual thing. The tubing isn't parallel sided, but it is too fat for normal road plug ins. The end would be maybe 3/4", and up by the shoulders more like 1 1/4". Looks pretty unbendable to me, are these kind of blades designed only for straight fork aps? Sorry I can't be super specific on the dimensions, I am nowhere near the shop and won't have shop internet for a while.

People probably have bent them with hydraulics. I don't really use that kind of blade so I'm not sure. I do think it's much more common to leave them straight and put the rake in at the steerer.

    Thanks.

My guesses were dead on. 1.25 tapering to .75. It could be bent as you say, but I was just holding the thing in my hand again, and it really looks like way too much for my normal fork bender. It is just for me, and I could notch it and reweld it, though it is hard to see any good reason to do so other than the look.
