Where to have graphics made?

I figure having a graphic made for the downtube would be easier than painting, but I'd want something thinner than vinyl, so it can go under the clearcoat.

Is there some place online where you can send in a PNG (or whatever) and have it printed and cut?

Have you got a sign shop anywhere near you? Take your design or lettering to them and they can make a decal for under your paint. I had lettering decals made very reasonably.

www.velocals.com

If you are going to a sign shop for cut vinyl, they usually use an .eps file, or an .ai eps.
They can cut in colored vinyl, or spray mask vinyl if you want the lettering painted on.

More complex? JR's* your man!

www.sssink.com

They do all the decals for our bikes. They are called "dry transfer" decals. Vinyl decals probably won't work, although I've heard it both ways... why take a chance after the fact? Once you've cleared the frame, thats not the time to find out that the decals you are using fade or crack under the clear after a few weeks or months.
