Experience with Nova Road OS DB Cro-Mo

I'm starting to pull together the bits for my second frame. This time, I'd like to go with oversized double-butted cro-mo, with long point lugs. I was looking at tubesets and saw that Nova sells a housebrand tubeset that fits the bill and seems to be very similar to the Dedacciai oversized road tubeset, which is nearly twice as much money. Does anyone here have experience with this Nova tubeset? Would it be suitable for building a 58cm sports-tourer for a 200 pounder?

Thanks,

Pete

i didnt click on the link, but you want 9-6-9 for the most part if your going to load it up at all. I like my frame fairly stiff, im a little under your weight, and its what i built my touring frame with. maybe go a little lite on the seat tube if you want some more flex, or the cs's. ive had no issues with nova tubing. its about as house as any brands i suspect, probably made if not in the same factory as some of the big brands, a comparable one no doubt, Lon wouldnt settle for junk, nor would he sell it.

If you buy the tubeset by itself, 9/6/9 is an option, and it's what I would get. It's half the price of Columbus on Ceeway, I guess I don't have anything to lose.

Thanks,

Pete
