Steel or stainless steel...

I'm wondering if stainless is stronger or weaker. Stainless obviously has the advantage of rust prevention, but won't do me any good of it's broken.

Thanks

Are you asking about building racks or using them?
The Utility and Touring sections will have more answers about their use.

304 stainless has about 1/3 the yield strength as 4130.

Cool! So I can go with 1/2 the material and still be stronger.

Thanks
