Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show

Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show features handmade bicycles, frame builders, and educational programming for professionals and the public
(Bend, OR): Handmade bicycles and bicycle related crafts, the artisans that build them and professionals representing the craft and culture of bicycling will converge at the 4th Annual Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show October 29-30, 2011 at GoodLife Brewing in Bend, Oregon. Bicycle frame building companies throughout the United States & abroad are all invited and welcome to showcase their wares alongside the best frame builders in Oregon.

In 2010, the Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show included 40 builders and welcomed over 2,500 attendees for the two day event. The 2011 show promises to again feature the country’s finest bicycles and related artisanal bicycle products. This year, the show is excited to be accepting the invitation to be a part of the 2011 Day of the Dead Cyclocross Festival in Bend, Oregon. Halloween Cross Crusade is a huge weekend of festivities including cyclocross races on Saturday & Sunday which welcome over 1,000 racers from throughout the Pacific Northwest.

“OBCA is very excited about the opportunity to bring the Oregon Handmade Bike Show to Bend,” said David Levy, President of the OBCA. “This is a great opportunity to showcase the talents of Oregon’s bicycle builders in a new region of the state and we’re confident our partnership with Visit Bend and the Cyclocross Crusade will increase the attendance of our biggest fundraiser of the year.”

“Visit Bend is honored and thrilled to host the Oregon Handmade Bike Show,” said Doug La Placa, President of Visit Bend. “In conjunction with the Halloween Cross Crusades, Bend will be hosting two of the largest and most prestigious cycling events in the Pacific Northwest over the Halloween weekend. The events will provide a timely boost to Bend’s tourism industry and will be a ton of fun for the local community.”

The 2011 OR Handmade Bicycle Show will include the two-day frame builder exhibition, plus seminars, local entertainment and socializing.

Full details for this year’s show are available at Oregon Handmade Bicycle Show. Exhibitor applications, sponsorship opportunities and ticket information will be available in Spring 2011. For immediate inquiries, contact Aaron McBride at show@oregonframebuilders.org.
