Mixte Lug-sets for sale

1 Attachment(s)
Howdy,

Ive got a stash of stamped Nervex style lugsets for sale. Each set includes both head lugs, the seatclamp lug, and the seat tube/toptube lug. These are 1" Top tube, 1.125 downtube, and 1.25 headube. There is light surface rust, but not bad at all for having been sitting around for twenty plus years! Each set is $30.00, no shipping charge. Any questions or for more pics, private message me,

Chad

Oh man...

How are they mite specific? I think they would be more of a women's specific frame the a lower top tube design. It if was a mixte lug set then the upper head tube lug wod have accommodations for two smaller tubes instead of a single larger one.

These lugs can be either for a Mixte, or a Lady's style frame. So I guess I am sort of wrong....but if the third set of stays are added like Sheldon's definition below...then it would be a Mixte..so not Mixte specific.

A style of lady's frame in which the "top tube" consists of a pair of small diameter tubes running more-or-less straight from the upper head lug, past the seat tube, and on to the rear fork ends. A mixte frame thus has 3 sets of rear stays, instead of the usual two. A variant on the mixte uses a single, full sized top tube running from the upper head tube to the seat tube, but retains the middle set of stays. A lady's type bike that lacks the middle pair of stays is not a mixte.

Commutedawg,

I've been thinking about trying a mixte for my next frame so your post is very timely. However,
I've only got 11 posts so I can't PM you. Could you PM me with some kind of contact information?
If that's too suspicious, is there some other way I can contact you? I guess this is the downside of being a lurker.

I think the price on these is reasonable, but my bet is that the head lug and lower seat tube lug will be below the rhumb line between the upper head lug and rear axle, unless the head tube is really over height.

Angles can be tweaked, especially on pressed lugs.

Anybody can feel free to contact me at gorillahead8@hotmail.com, I check email fairly often, so I will get back to you right away...
For what its worth I havn't built a frame with these yet, but plan on it for my wifes' next bike, so we'll see how geometry stacks up.
