Check out Llewellyn too. His stems are beautiful. I think his screen name is Daza, and he can be found in the frame builders forum now and then.

most builders will not build only a stem or rack. Winter is one of the few. Asking every framebuilder will be a long, fruitless task
anyone can get one of his stem kits, either from him, Nova in the U.S., or Ceeway
I have one sitting in a box, need to polish up the lugs

Thanks guys, I'll figure out exactly what I want and probably go with two different customs, one for my old road bike and one for the old triple tandem.

FreeFloat- once you have a rough idea of what you are interested in, let me know. We can brain storm a bit and come up with something special. The web site shows some ideas, but as they are custom made, the options are pretty limitless.
