frame jig pix
Hi builders,
I just wanted to show you guys my jig. It uses 8020 aluminum sections, a bb puck for a 68mm shell, really thick cone arms and anvil dummy axles. Maybe I can inspire somebody else

I'm inspired, very nice jig. Did you do any machining or is it all 8020 and components(other than the dummy hubs)? OK, I'm going to ask how much materials were for the jig; how much were they? I'd like to know a ball park number if you feel like sharing. Looks very doable from my viewpoint.
thanks, Brian

Also, if no one yet asked; What kind of coin do you burn through to make it? I have looked at ads for full up pro jigs between $3,000 and $5,000 and would like to compare and contrast...

80/20 adds up quick, but it's certainly a few hundreds, not thousands. Machined parts are another matter

McMaster Carr has extrusions, but I don't know what brand. My understanding is that misumi is the cheapest, but they are not 80/20 LINK
People say that the Bosch extrusions are the best, you probably have to find a local distributor and they can't be cheap. Searching on google for structural extrusions will yield many suppliers
80/20 has a store on ebay, that's probably the best way to buy their stuff.
