Advice for partial paint after replacing canti brake posts?

I have a frame that was damaged in a previous life that needed the canti brake posts replaced. Of course, in the process the paint on the seat stays got partially stripped off and/or heat damaged. I want to paint it back to protect the steel, do you guys have any recommendations for masking and painting and/or what paint is good to use?
