I actually have that combo on my bench right now. Sometimes it takes a little blacksmithing. I think those blades all start out as 24mm or something like that, so it depends on the smoosh that the tube manufacturer applies

Curious if you're using a disc set up and if you're going to use the dropouts they suggest using. If you do use them are you going to install them "upside down" so the opening is more forward than downward facing to help prevent wheel "ejection" due to loading from the disc? The pic of the dropouts on the Nova site looks like the center of the dropout has some forward offset(maybe not) so if it is used facing forward the trail number will decrease. I posted the question as I'm going to build using the crown/blades, any info on your build will be much appreciated.

haven't decided on the dropout. When I bought them, they didn't have a dropout that fit. They said they did, but the gap was huge. The dropout issue put the project on hold. It seems like putting them on backwards makes a pretty extreme angle, I wish they had a better solution

Looking again, it seems like the eylet is supposed to go in front. I suspect that gives enough of an angle to keep the wheel from being ejected

I never bothered to measure crown sockets or blades. I usually squish the blades slightly in the required axis (with some back and forth) until it fits.

The trail won't change if you take the offset into account. I check the rake with the dropout in place.

I build a fork with that blade/dropout combo. With the eyelet at the rear the axle slots is facing slightly forward. Plus the dropout face is recessed to hold the wheel. Here is a pic.

Btw the blade has a large end diameter. My bender couldn't handle it and I had to use one from a friend.

yeah, they are huge blades, I'm impressed you could bend it

How was the fit of those dropouts?

If I remember right the fit was tight enough that a bit of sanding made it fine.

My bending form (wood) is grooved at a 1/2" dia. My friend has the Hammill (I think) with the v-groove.
