Fixed Gear Collapsable Bike

Hey everyone. Just learned I'll be headed to London next semester and will need a bike. I have a steel fixie that is the ultimate commuter, but airfair is pricey. Any ideas on making it seperable? Anybody know where to get S&S couplers?

Probably cheaper to buy a bike there

couplers installed and a case for the bike will run you over $1k usd before paint. S&S are generally not available for DIY, if that was the question. Framebuilders get them from S&S directly

True, but you could always fabricate your own René Herse-style “démontable” couplers:

Although I'm sure it would be much easier and less expensive to simply buy a bike in London.

I've thought about copying those couplers.

sleeve inside, pinch bolts compressing around, is in public domaine.. S&S coupler is still patented ..

Bike Fridays pack even smaller, because of the 20" wheels. Silk would build a Fixie the is a 'Pre Loved' Tikit on the site, Now, is already a Fixed gear .. a 349 16" wheel

tire size in common with the popular Bromptons, Made in London.
