If you dare to ride anything other than a DF bike, you are profiled. Since I ride a recumbent bike and a trike, yes I am profiled. I am profiled on this forum because I dare to post that many if not most people would be better served if they were on bents. Rest assured tho, I really dont care, and I will continue to post the advantages of riding bents. The "real cyclist" that rail against bents and claim they are not "real" bikes only serve to make be more determined to spread the word about how great it is to ride bents.

Oh, I'm not so sure about that, rydabent. There's a number of primarily, or exclusively 'bent riders that post here (myself included) and I don't think I've been "profiled" for not riding a "real" bike. I suspect some boob really got under your skin at some point. We've all met them- they're the "If you're not like me, there's something wrong with you" type. But I don't think that they any more define the average road bike rider than the bent riders who post here define bentdom. There's snotty people in all walks of life- it's really their problem, not ours- it's best to ignore them.

I don't 'get' the allure of fixies. Probably nice for around the town, but if you have hills, go 14 miles one way and have a couple of spots you can 'gear up' and cruise....I prefer gears.

I run Linux Mint 7.1 and love it.

Fixed gear bicycles make me a better geared bicycle rider.

Also, I own a mtb bike, a hybrid, a fixed gear, a single speed, and two road bikes. I also have a windows laptop, a macbook, and mess around in linux from time to time for ****s and giggles.
