Noises on High Gear

Hello! I was hoping I can get some advice. I 2014 Fuji Altamira. I bought it new about a month ago. I noticed scratchy noises everytime I'm on high gear. The noise happens during right pedal goes downward. I'm also now hearing ticking noises while pedaling. This noise is more frequent than the other. I supposed I need to take it in to a shop, but I was wondering if there's anything I can do to detect where this is coming from and maybe just fix it at home. Thank you for your time!

Check to see if the chain is rubbing on derailleur when running large in front, small in rear. It usually is a straight forward derailleur adjustment.

Actually it's a straight forward cable adjustment but I agree with your assessment. Especially considering that this is a new bike.

KingweezieIII: your cables have stretched. This is normal for a new bike. You should have cable adjusters on the bike somewhere that you can use to tighten up the slack that has developed. It's a 30 second job.
