    No luck this year

This is my second year on my bike. Last year I put a couple thousand miles behind me and flatted only once: A small nail punctured tire and tube about 100 yards from my house. This year I took my bike into the shop for a "tune up" (I figured they would know what that means). One of the things the shop did was to swap my Continental tires for Michelin kevlar tires. Now in my first 100 miles I've had 2 pinch flats this year. Any of you had this experience? Thanks in advance.

If you are having pinch flats that would lead me to believe you are not riding with enough air pressure. What kind of pressure are you riding with, and what is the max on your tires?

I fill my tires with 120 psi weekly. Last year I filled every 3rd day but this year my opportunities to ride have been sporadic so I've been pumping only on weekends.

From my past experiences, the only times I have had pinch flats (Other than hitting a pothole at 25 mph) is when I didn't have enough air pressure in my tires. This was usually the result of running late and not checking my tire pressure. I try and check my tires before every ride, even though sometimes I miss it. Have you considered the possibility that the flats are coming from another source? Have you checked the inside of your tires? Do you have spoke nipples coming through the rim tape?
