Truck Rack Question

sorry if this is a dumb question but I have never hauled bikes in the back of my truck before. I live blocks from a nice bike trail but doing a charity ride and put the fork stem mounts in my truck. (Yakima Blockheads)

Question: Do I need to do anything with the back end of the bike? Will it dance around on me? I have a rubber bed mat in my truck but don't know anything about hauling them.

thanks!

your bikes should be fine...securing the rear should not be necessary for normal driving... now if you go off road racing....

thanks, it is a pretty good distance. Need to drive 3 hours @65mph so am kind of nervous. Don't have a high end bike but don't want to re-spend another 1K if something goes wrong!!!

I've never had mine move around but I have the fork mount at the rear and push the back wheel of the bike against the cab.
