    volunteering?

    Hi!

I've been volunteering for some NYC Road Runner's races, and thought "Maybe the cycling races need volunteers too?" But, I don't know the names of the cycling organizations. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks!

Check with the various promoters. Some even opening solicit for volenteers. The Tour de Georgia does.
    Bikes use brakes to stop.

If your bike has breaks, don't ride it.

Check with your city bike program. Also, check with usacycling.org. They list all the races by state, and you can contact the organizations running the race and see if they need volunteers.

Check with bike shops or clubs in your area for pointers. If you see brochures or ads, contact the listed promoter. Races and centuries always need volunteers.
