Ruined training

How often do you ruin your training by pursuing a bicyclist that just happen to be minding his/her business but appears to be moving faster that your usual speed. I just can't stand it.

You can't stand you ruining your own training by chasing after some cyclist that doesn't even know you exist? Well then don't do it.

Training is not just physical, but mental. That means learning to pace yourself appropriately for the entire race. If you have a habit of chasing (but not reaching and not being able to hold the pace to stay in the draft) the faster cyclists early in the race which will result in burning yourself out before finishing, then you need to change that and focus on pacing.

Funny you should ask. It just happened this Saturday morning. That's the only time though. I usually stick with my plan.

I dislike it when somebody trails to close without asking me first, but if they ask I work them like a dog.

I consider training to be the act of pursuing a cyclist who is riding faster than me.

I like the rides where I'm fortunate enough to have someone appear on the road ahead of me.
