My lovely wife rode a bike some when young never having a proper sized bike combined with eye sight issues she hasn't been on a bike for many years . In 2012 we found out she had type 2 diabetes, she has through diet and exercise got off her medication .. Lately her knees have been bothering her cutting walking down a lot . She has never been comfortable with the set up on a standard bike , not being able to put both feet down . I have shown her crank forward / flat foot type bikes after some trips to LBS they brought a bike in for her to try and I bought her an Electra cruiser 24 in and a good used trainer She isn't ready for a trail ride she is on a bike and excited and that is a start . I couldn't find a stationary bike that she liked or was comfortable with . this one she is comfortable excited and back to exercising
