They likely got paid enough to buy it.

Are these reviews for real?

I was a little mystified by this one question and answer: Q: 34lbs sounds REALLY light for a road bike. Is it really that light? A: yes, around 15kg, without the paddle and seat.

I realize this bike would serve as a good boat anchor but "paddle and seat"? Then I realized the author probably can't spell pedal either. Just goes to show how metric illiterate many Americans are. The conversion factor is 2.2 pounds per Kg. This bike weighs 33-35.2 pounds. Would I pay $900 for a bike that weighs that much and looks like it would be right at home in a clown parade? Never!

I have no doubt they've sold a few bikes.

Just sell one bike in each of the 50 states, and that is 50 bikes.

In many cases, the more publicity something gets (good or bad), the better off a person is.

Given a choice between a Machete and a Denali... I might even be tempted to get the Machete.

I told my wife I wanted one for X-mas.. She took one look at it and said "are you serious?"... I agree that the seller seems to think the bogus questions and reviews are for real, very sad. I would LOVE to have enough money to buy one and wheel it in to my LBS. I know the owner pretty well now and he keeps bugging me and asking when I'm getting a new ride. If I rode in on that thing it would be priceless

Lol, the roadtech, oddly is better than the denali, or at least lighter. Mine was lighter than my buddies denali, even before I swapped some parts, now it wieghs less than my other friends 90 Schwinn Le Tour, that was all stock, sans the 700c's.

This answer from the seller in the Q&A clears things up completely.

Q:
Is this bike laterally stiff, while remaining vertically compliant?

A:
Well, according to our feedback and profile, you can see that we just start here on Amazon. I did not why there is so many so called professors never buy and use this bike have such on earth reviews ? It seems that have something new been destroyed by them giving them such beautiful feeling.
So even they can tell the died one feeling too in the coffin just like witch ?

I think the seller is on to the bogus reviews and the "died one feeling too in the coffin" is some sort of veiled threat

Most likely he used Google translate or a similar service. Donīt blame it on malice when stupidity is more likely. Emphasis on the bike being sold.

35 lbs for a commuter bike with a rear rack and panniers is actually quite decent.

If you're looking for a fast road bike, that is seriously overweight. I'd skip it.

My favourite is from the Q&A!

Q: Does it come with fender and rack mounts? I usually do large shopping on the way home from my weekly 100k time trail race.

A: Sorry Sir, it comes no fender, you have to buy from other buyer in local or let us send it to you from China for free if necessary.
What does mean the "rack mounts"? If you mean the Water Bottle Rack Holder, yes, it comes with a plastic water rack bottle rack, if not, you can ask us to resend it from China for free.
Besides, we also send you with the bike lock, scarf, gloves, etc accessaries. It won't be all the same every time, but we send them more than you expected.
Great Thanks for your support and interest for this bike.

Who the hell would want to commute on that abortion? I mean, that brake lever position just says, "perfect for stop and go riding".
